The Armor Impact Plus™ (AIP) for Storm Protection

Gorell’s Armor Impact Plus glass option has passed stringent testing to certify that it will help protect your home against airborne debris and strong winds from storms and other forms of violent weather. This system, available on select Gorell window models, eliminates the need for expensive, difficult-to-install and unsightly hurricane shutters and offers numerous advantages and benefits to homeowners.

Armor Impact Plus™ (AIP) “hurricane” glass system features three panes of glass, two of which sandwich a protective interlayer. It also includes a SolarControl Max® Low-E coating and argon gas fill. Two heavy-duty locks are standard on Armor Impact Plus windows.

SELECTING ENERGY-EFFICIENT WINDOWS FOR YOUR HOME

Energy efficient vinyl replacement windows

The glass in the windows you purchase has everything to do with the energy cost savings and level of comfort you will experience with your new windows. Clear double-insulating glass is standard on Gorell windows and doors, but you need a Gorell high-performance Low-E glass system for a real difference in energy efficiency.

To see how Gorell products perform with the various glass options, we encourage you to review the "Whole-Window" U-values of our products. These ratings are used by the National Fenestration Ratings Council (NFRC) to qualify windows for the ENERGY STAR® label. The lower the U-value rating, the more your new windows will lower your energy consumption.
